Alumni Activities

Conference activities are planned especially for retired members, KASA’s alumni group, Thursday, July 17, at the Galt House Hotel & Suites in Louisville.  This year, attendees will enjoy a luncheon and breakout session featuring a cast of executive directors and leading experts on Kentucky’s retirement system.

What Happened to My Retirement in the 2008 Legislative Session?  (10:30 a.m.)

You asked the question and you have a vested interest in the answer!  Join Kentucky’s leading retirement experts as they share firsthand what happened in the General Assembly and speculate on trends for the future.

Come learn and voice your concerns directly to the people who represent you.

If you’re considering retirement, this is a great opportunity to ask questions and clarify options as you make decisions for this next phase of your life. Retirees and retiree wannabes welcome!

Facilitated by Gary Harbin, Executive Director, Kentucky Teacher Retirement System; Bob Wagoner, Executive Director, Kentucky Retired Teachers Association

You Don't Need GPS to Get to Memory Lane (11:45 a.m.)

Join KASA’s cast of executive directors, past and present, for a special luncheon and stroll down memory lane.  Come relive the highlights and the lowlights of KASA from its early beginnings (1969) to the present.  Leave the GPS at home and come prepared to laugh.

Facilitated by KASA Executive Director Wayne Young and past directors William Nallia and Fred Williams

A lunch ticket is required for this event.  (See registration form for information.)

Come hear the latest retirement news, stroll down memory lane, and experience moments of laughter and motivation when the curtain goes up and these leading experts and KASA past-timers take the stage.

Space will be limited, so reserve your seat early.
