2009 Fred Award Finalists Named

KASA is proud to announce its three finalists for the 2009 Fred award: 

• Brenda Sorrell, a bus driver at Montgomery County Schools

• Sherry Radford, a teacher at Cumberland County Middle School

• Eddie Elder, a custodian at Central Elementary School in Graves County

The finalists were chosen by a statewide judging panel representing school districts across the commonwealth, and will be recognized at a special ceremony Friday, July 17, during the association’s annual summer institute for Kentucky’s p-12 school administrators.  Finalists will receive $250 each to present to the school program of their choice, overnight lodging at the Galt House Hotel & Suites and a distinguished plaque detailing the award.  The winner will receive $500 to present to the school program of his or her choice .
