2008-09 Officers Appointed

President - Mr. Gary Rye

Gary Rye, superintendent of the Dayton Independent Schools and a member of KASA since 1986, has served as a regional representative to the board of directors, a member of the conference planning committee, and is a state representative to the AASA governing board.  In addition, Rye serves on the KASS board of directors, the Kentucky Center for School Safety Council, and is an active member of several education organizations.

President Elect -Mr. Bobby Lewis

Bobby Lewis, associate superintendent of the Hardin County Schools and a member of KASA since 1996, has served as a regional representative to the KASA board of directors, a member of the nominating committee, and has chaired the legislative committee.

Vice President-Ms. Phyllis O'Neal

Phyllis O'Neal, principal of Calvert City Elementary in Marshall County and a member of KASA since 1997, has served on the KASA Board of Directors, strategic planning committee and the conference planning committee.

Immediate Past President-Mr. Mr. Pete Galloway

Pete Galloway, a member of KASA since 1981, is now the immediate past president of KASA.  Mr. Galloway is currently the interim superintendent for the Graves County Schools.
