Award recipients will be recognized during a special ceremony at KASA's Annual Institute, July 21-23, 2010, at the Galt House Hotel & Suites in Louisville. Each will receive a distinguished award and be recognized before an audience of 1,000+ school administrators.
Awards Overview:
We invite you to help us recognize Kentucky's outstanding school administrators and support staff by nominating individuals from your school district for one of KASA's distinctive awards. Through the program, we seek to honor committed, passionate leaders who exceed the ordinary every single day. These leaders are the ones who have devoted their lives to educating Kentucky's children and are visionary and exemplary in the manner in which they perform their duties.

Service Award | Past Winners
Presented to an individual who is retired (or will retire at the close of the current school year), and has served KASA, one of the affiliate organizations, and public education with an unsurpassed degree of commitment.

Tom
Vest Professional Development Award | Past Winners
Named in honor of longtime Kentucky Department of Education employee, Dr. Tom Vest, this award is presented to an individual or organization for outstanding professional development programs that have a direct and positive impact on student achievement.
Inspired by well-known Mark Sanborn, the Award is named in honor of Fred Shea, the subject of Sanborn’s national best-seller, The Fred Factor. The award seeks to honor an individual who exudes a Fred-like spirit of service, innovation and commitment to others, positively influencing and impacting the lives of those in the school community.
Presented annually to an education leader who reflects a spirit of innovation and cutting edge leadership while bringing higher levels of success and learning to all children.
