The Daviess County Board of Education is seeking a highly-passionate, highly-motivated leader to guide the district’s vision of excellence for students and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate innovative thinking and will be a model of integrity, showing concrete evidence of their ability to build trust through competence and character.
Candidates should possess a broad background in education and significant experience with Kentucky Core Content and Assessment standards. Strong interpersonal skills, including superior communication skills, accessibility, and approachability, are required. All candidates should be able to show their ability to develop leadership potential in others.

Located on the southern banks of the Ohio River, Daviess County (Owensboro, Ky.) is the industrial and cultural hub of Western Kentucky. The community supports and values education at every level. The DCPS District includes 12 elementary schools, three middle schools, two traditional high schools and one alternative high school. Total enrollment is approximately 11,500 students in grades P-12. DCPS has about 1,700 employees and operates on an annual budget of about $107 million.

The Mercer County Board of Education is seeking a proven leader in the areas of curriculum, instruction and assessment. Applicants need to have demonstrated the ability to raise student learning as measured by state assessment results.  The successful candidate needs to possess strong communication skills that lead to the engagement of all stakeholders. Applicants need to be of high integrity with the professional will to lead innovative change while accepting feedback, confronting issues and motivating staff to reach both short and long-term goals to prepare students to be successful in the 21st century.

Located in the Bluegrass Region of Central Kentucky, Mercer County (Harrodsburg) is one of the best places to live and raise a family. Manufacturing provides the largest number of jobs for those living in Mercer County. The residents know an excellent education assures a bright future for Mercer County. The Mercer County Public Schools includes two elementary schools, an Intermediate School, a middle school, a 9th Grade Academy, a High School, and an Alternative School. The Ohio County Board of Education is seeking an individual with the capacity to have people willingly follow a shared vision that is focused on student achievement. Applicants need to possess strong interpersonal skills with students, staff, board members and community members. The successful individual needs to model the way by being honest, dependable, and demonstrating a strong work ethic. The successful candidate must be able to both lead the team and be part of the team by being receptive to feedback and treating everyone as a valued member of the organization.

Ohio County is located in Western Kentucky intersected by the Western Kentucky Parkway and the William H. Natcher Parkway. Midway between Owensboro and Bowling Green. The Ohio County Schools are ideally located within a rural lifestyle setting with access to the amenities of larger cities. Berea Independent Schools

The Board of Education of the Berea Independent Schools is seeking a passionate and energetic educational leaders with administrative experience along with a proven record of improving student achievement. Candidates should also be able to create a climate of high expectations. Budgeting experience is a plus. Execellent people and communication skills along with active involvement in the Berea Community are expected. A competitive and commensurate salary according to rank and experience will be offered.

Located near the edge of the Central Bluegrass region on I-75 40 miles south of Lexington, Berea is home to nationally recognized Berea College.

The Dayton Independent Board of Education is seeking a passionate educational leader who seeks to continue the tradition of stable, long term leadership. The successful candidate should have administrative experience with central office experience a plus. Along with being an innovator and an effective motivator, candidates should possess a strong working knowledge of current Kentucky education trends, including best practice for enhancing student achievement. Additionally, candidates will be expected to possess excellent people skills and be actively involved in an work with the Dayton community. A negotiable salary will be offered.

Dayton, bordering on the Ohio River, is located just across the the river from Cincinnati in Campbell County. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a Kentucky superintendent's certification.

Bell County Schools

Bell County Schools (2,971 students, PS – 12)  www.bell.kyschools.us   The Bell County Board of Education is seeking an outstanding educational leader with administrative experience who can create an atmosphere of high expectations and lead the district to reaching these expectations.  Candidates should have a proven record of improving student achievement and have current knowledge of trends in Kentucky education.  Additionally, candidates should also possess experience with budgeting and have a proven record of fiscally sound decision making.  The salary starting for the new contract on July 1, 2012, is negotiable.

Bell County located in southeastern Kentucky and bordering both Tennessee and Virginia is home to Pine Mountain State Park and Cumberland Gap National Park.

The Walton-Verona Independent Board of Education seeks an accomplished, innovative and student centered instructional leader to serve as its next superintendent. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a proven record of leadership and administrative experience. The candidate should possess excellent people skills with the ability to set expectations and promote accountability. Active involvement in the community and a willingness to meet face to face with constituents is expected.

The Walton-Verona Independent School district is a growing district that has received international and state-wide recognition. The communities of Walton and Verona are located on I-75/I-71 in Boone County Kentucky, just 20 minutes south of Cincinncati, Ohio. Candidates must hold or be eligible for Kentucky Certification. Salary will be competitive with the contract beginning July 1, 2012.
