School districts are invited to hold administrative retreats in conjunction with KASA’s 39th annual conference, July 16-18, 2008, at the Galt House Hotel & Suites in Louisville.

Overview: In a lively presentation, Gary Marx, whose 2006 books include Sixteen Trends…Their Profound Impact on Our Future and Future Focused Leadership…Preparing Schools, Students, and Communities for Tomorrow’s Realities, lays out the evidence for trends significantly impacting education and their profound implications for Kentucky’s education systems. Participants will then consider the implications of the trends and what students need to know and be able to do to be prepared for life in a global knowledge/information age. This program is essential for all education leaders.
