EMPLOYEE DISCIPLINE IN AN EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Presented by the
Kentucky Association of School Administrators
and UpSlope Solutions LLC

August 31, 2010, for EDEV Module #1: Types of Employee Discipline

During this session, participants will consider the ways in which the five most common disciplinary measures used by schools and districts often create legal risk when executed in either an unreasonable or an inappropriate manner. As an important part of this leadership staff development opportunity, participants will also analyze video-based re-enactments of actual disciplinary cases to apply practical, research-supported strategies for minimizing exposure to liability in an "offline" environment. Note: Module 1 was offered in November 2009. This is a repeat of that session. Module 2 and 3 will be new.
