Certified Evaluation Training

For the past few years, we have provided the Initial Certified Evaluation Training for administrators newly assigned the role of evaluator of certified personnel as required by KRS 156.557.  Under the guidance of the Kentucky Department of Education, we have made every effort to make this training meaningful and effective for promoting the evaluation process as a vehicle to positively impact teacher effectiveness and student learning.  Each year, through feedback provided by current participants and a specially selected group of educators and KDE staff, we refine and update the training to reflect current research-based best practices and the most recent legislation that impacts the process.

Registration may be completed on-line or by fax or mail. If you have questions/concerns, or need more information, please contact Shirley (shirley@kasa.org) or Anne (anne@kasa.org) by e-mail or phone (502) 875-3411.

This training also meets the requirements for certified evaluation update training.  This is recommended for previously trained and certified administrators who want a more intensive update/review of the statutory and specific KDE/KBE requirements related to process.

Cost: $200 (both days)

$125 (one day - for update training only) Update attendance may

be either day of the training, however, the second day of the

workshop is more relevant for update.
