There are many, many individuals across this great state that deserve recognition for their dedication to providing safe transportation for school children. We ask that you help us honor them by nomination in one of the following categories:
School Bus Driver of the Year: that special person to whom we entrust our children every day.
Special Needs School Bus Driver of the Year: that driver who takes extra care in transporting special passengers.
Head Technician of the Year: the person who makes sure every bus is safe and reliable.
Driver Trainer of the Year: the person who goes the extra mile to make sure that each driver is well trained.
Transportation Director of the Year: an individual whose top priority is the safe transportation of children and who supports the drivers, mechanics and other staff.
Superintendent of the Year: an administrator who strongly supports the pupil transportation staff in every aspect.
Other Transportation Personnel of the Year: that special secretary, manager, dispatcher or other support staff who regularly contributes to the safe transportation of students.
KAPT Hall of Fame Award: that exemplary individual who has dedicated their career to pupil transportation and supported the Kentucky Association for Pupil Transportation.
Honorees will be announced at the awards ceremony during the 2010 KAPT Annual Fall Conference, and honored at this time. Again this year, pupil transportation industry representatives are supporting this recognition by sponsoring a category and providing a plaque and monetary reward.
